Recently Google has partnered up with several public and private libraries to scan and compile a wide variety of books. Those that are older in nature and have had their copyright expire are available as full text, either to read online or you may download the .pdf file to read offline. I found several there that folks of this community may be interested in and will provide the links below for your convenience.

i need to find a way to get in touch with google, though, as pages 8-11 of Highland Superstitions there are missing, replaced with duplicate title pages. i haven't had a chance to look at the others yet.

I've found some texts (not among these) that were scanned too quickly and there are errant finger and hand blurs from the scanner along with the odd page snafus. I hadn't noticed the missing pages in this one but I haven't read through all my finds yet. Thanks for letting me know!
